Belbari Multiple Campus

Introduction

Belbari Multiple Campus (BMC) was established in 2008 AD (2065 BS) as a community-based (public) institution to address the growing need for affordable and accessible higher education in Belbari and its surrounding areas. It was founded through the collaborative efforts of prominent academicians, social activists, politicians, and local residents who envisioned a quality educational hub in the region.

Situated in Belbari Municipality-3, Morang, just 200 meters from the Mahendra Highway, the campus is affiliated with Tribhuvan University. It aims to provide quality higher education to students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly those from underprivileged communities. Over the years, BMC has played a pivotal role in transforming Belbari into an emerging educational center in the Koshi Province.

Since its inception, the campus has been offering undergraduate programs in three key faculties: Management (BBS), Humanities and Social Sciences (BA), and Education (B.Ed.). These programs have produced numerous graduates who have excelled in various professional fields, contributing to the academic and economic growth of the community.

BMC operates on a strong foundation of community support, with financial resources coming from the University Grants Commission (UGC), student fees, and contributions from organizations like the Nepal Accounting and Legal Practitioners Association, Nagar Samiti, Belbari, Morang. In addition, initiatives such as the plantation of 6,000 betel nut saplings and the establishment of the Belbari Multiple Campus Endowment Fund for the Distitute (BMCEFD) aim to secure sustainable funding for the institution’s long-term growth.

To ensure academic excellence, the campus is actively pursuing the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) process. It has formed essential units and committees such as the Education Management Information System (EMIS), Research and Management Cell (RMC), and others to enhance its internal operations and align with national educational standards.

Belbari Multiple Campus is committed to fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and research-oriented education. Its vision is to become a leading educational institution, not only in the Eastern Region of Nepal but also nationwide, by delivering high-quality education, promoting lifelong learning, and preparing students to meet global challenges effectively.
